Our Services

BurlyCares offers two tiers of service. These different tiers offer specific aid based on the level of assistance each legend needs.

BurlyCares services senior performance variety show artists aged 60 or older. We have a specified qualifying, vetting and screening process to determine if an individual meets the criteria of one or more of our programs.

BuryCares can also provide fundraising and program 2 services for performers who are under the age of 60 and have been performance artists professionally for at least 10 years.

Program 1

Isolation Prevention & Advocacy

*Please note, we provide transportation to/from appointments with BurlyCares staff. Please reach out to us to arrange transportation.

  1. Legends are eligible for virtual (and/or live) fundraising for emergency situations where food, clothing, care, housing, utilities (electric, water, gas) are not being met due to acute illnesses, new illness diagnoses or terminal disease process (available to all legends nationally and in Canada)

  2. For legends outside of Las Vegas, BurlyCares can be available via phone, messaging or email for socialization, referrals, wellness check’s and healthcare advocacy. With the legends permission, BurlyCares can make phone calls on behalf of the legend to advocate for treatments, programs and services. 

  3. BurlyCares can help assist legends and families with completing official healthcare power of attorney paperwork and referrals to mobile notary services (available to all legends locally and nationally).

  4. BurlyCares regularly hosts scheduled legend-centric community events and legend luncheons (available to all legends in Las Vegas, NV)

  5. Volunteers are always welcome in Program 1! Please see our volunteer page to get involved in the Pen Pal Program and/or the Story Worth Program!

Program 2

End of Life Doula Program

**Our End of Life Care Program is currently full. We are not able to take on any new clients at this time.**

Currently available in Nevada and California. Referrals and care can be attempted to be set up for legends outside of Nevada and California.

  1. The BurlyCares End of Life Doula Program was created to prevent legends from transitioning and dying alone.

  2. BurlyCares will referral to affiliated home hospice programs and initiate these services to coincide with BurlyCares services. 

  3. BurlyCares can provide an end of life doula staff available for in home assistance during active health decline, transitioning and active transitioning stages of the dying process. For transitioning/actively dying stages of symptomatic legends or legends without family members BurlyCares can provide daily extended visits (staff permitting).

  4.  For chronic disease active decline (but not transitioning) BurlyCares can provide home visits 1-2 times a week for legend and familial assistance. Visits at this stage are generally 1-2 hours each visit. Client must have a terminal disease diagnosis and hospice care initiated.

  5. BurlyCares DOES NOT provide hands-on care or skilled nursing care. These needs are provided by qualified and licensed home hospice programs. BurlyCares doula staff work in congruence with an affiliated home hospice program under their guided directions.
